The Lowry - John Wilson 

Although I have studied the work and technique of many of the best known artists Lowry has had the most influence on my own work. In this painting 'The Lowry' I have featured all Lowry paintings showing the vast variety of different subject matters Lowry used, which included industrial, landscape, seascape, people studies and the surreal.

I have added my own trademark figures, which signify how everyone starts painting at a young age. However in contrast the paintings on the wall depict what can be achieved in later life. The figure on the far right could be that of Mr Lowry himself!
