Tango Rouge - Hamish Blakely
The title suggests the tone of this piece and, as a minor departure from the minimal background details in a lot of my work, I have incorporated a more defined setting. In this case, the colour of the room, the double doors behind the couple and the gentle glow highlighting the distant staircase. These all contribute to the sense of closeness and drama. throughout the entire piece, there is more intensive attention to detail, from the undulating light hitting the top of the mans cap to the rhythmic illumination of the womans back muscles.
